Poor leaves

Oh no!

Had to cut the leaves off. Poor seedlings must feel nekkid.

Keeping it neat

It's going to get messy again. I'm sure of it.

So leggy!

Cauliflowers scream, "AHH, look what you've done to us!"

Sorry, guys. You'll get your freedom in a few days time.

The lettuce and cauliflower seedlings are going out of control! It's not even a month until the last frost day and they already want to move out.

A proud cauliflower. I hope they don't bolt when they get older

Lettuce on steroids

I had planned on transferring the overgrowing seedlings into outdoor containers, but....

It suddenly snowed last night and early this morning. It's so strange because I had just enjoyed a tasty vanilla cone from McDonalds yesterday

They're sprouting!

Pre-gardening

Gardening has been both my family and neighbour's long time hobby. We've grown and swapped produce from red peppers and tomatoes to apples and cherries for years! I've always hung around in the background, poking and prodding flowers and vegetables, but never have I attempted anything on my own. Now that I'm back home after several years of rezing, I'll try to grow awesome produce like...

...asparagus! 2 to 3 years to get a decent yield?! I should haveve paid closer attention to the packet before making the purchase

...bell pepper and lettuce seeds in the easy to use "Sow 'n GRO peat pellet green house." Add water to pellets until they poof up. Dig small holes in pellets using stirring stick. Place seeds in each hole. Top with soil. Add water.

My "watering can" aka mini tea pot from my IKEA tea set. That's a plastic Starbucks stirring stick perfect for making mini pellet holes and flattening soil

Seeds bathing under artificial sun. Seedlings are hungry little things, needing 12-16 hours of sunlight per day
