It has been a few days since the sudden onset of the cold weather, and I'm glad to announce that everything is fine and dandy :D Cool crops are much more hardy than I thought.

The ten week old cauliflowers are looking rather stunted. Maybe it's due to the lack of sun in their shady territory.

One and only strawberry plant looking even better than before.

Poor lettuces are the only exception. The ones that were transplanted as small seedlings are fine, but it looks like these big guys have just encountered a twister.

Moved a few things around the garden like this pea (among other peas) from the yogurt container to the field.

Once potted Swiss chard now in the ground. Hmm, not a very happy, well-adjusting bunch.

Cauliflower I moved to the square across from its sibling, Cauliflower II.

One of my goals this year is to keep everything organized with labels and matching containers/trays. So far everything is looking spectacular ( ^^ )b

Droopy three week old cauliflower seedlings in dire need of a warm current. Hang in there, guys! This chilly weather should be over in no time.

Six week old chives are splitting at the base.

One week old Swiss chard. Turns out one "seed" from the packet is actually a cluster of approximately four seeds. Now there are twenty seedlings starring at me versus the intended five.

Seven week old spinach seedlings packed together tightly in their tiny home.

AHH forgot to wrap the curd!
I doubt the curd will recover from its sunburn but it's worth a try. Even if the cauliflower isn't edible, I'm still thrilled that it has made it this far : )

Left to right: basil - spinach - rosemary - broccoli - lettuce seeds in peat pellets sitting on my windowsill

Teased these little guys yesterday afternoon by setting them close to the backyard. They really want out!

Bell peppers are growing nicely and are almost as bushy as the ones at Canadian Tire

The broccoli, cauliflower and lettuce are another case. It's like they can get up and walk away any second

I didn't realize the ruler was upside down until the pictures were uploaded. This eggplant is approximately 5 cm tall! I'm so glad they're still alive :D

The lettuce and cauliflower seedlings are going out of control! It's not even a month until the last frost day and they already want to move out.

A proud cauliflower
. I hope they don't bolt when they get older

Lettuce on steroids
I had planned on transferring the overgrowing seedlings into outdoor containers, but....

It suddenly snowed last night and early this morning. It's so strange because I had just enjoyed a tasty vanilla cone from McDonalds yesterday
