Indoor gardening in winter

I was flipping through a couple of garden magazines the other day when I thought, "I sure miss all the exciting gardening things during these dead, wintry days." Then I had the brilliant idea of growing plants in my cozy house like the following:

Daisies. The smaller one is barely visible.

Bok choy

As you can see, the bok choy and daisies are not too happy with the conditions I have provided them. The poor seedlings are starved of sunlight and ventilation.

Venus flytrap at work

For the longest time my venus flytrap was nothing more than a windowsill decoration. Then yesterday I got a nice surprise in the morning - look, it finally caught a fruit fly! Yes! Devour that little sucker >:D

Surprise, I'm here!

Look what I found: a baby marigold flourishing outside the vegetable patch. It's now one with the lawn

Discovered a few sprigs of thyme growing in between the rose bushes

Here's a baby strawberry very much alive underneath a canopy of fallen rose petals and leaves

New plants from Valleyview

First time this year visiting Valleyview. I absolutely enjoyed the trip with my grandma and aunt, the best parts being annuals picking and cherry tree watching. The ones with the white flowers were gorgeous.

When my aunt pointed out the strawberry plants, I knew some were going home with me. This one looks so cute and bushy in its new home

Marigold, vegetables' best friend

Makeshift cloche for leaf lettuces. I hope the grocery bag doesn't blow away and fly into someone's face
